The Weißsee Glacier World offers almost endless possibilities for ambitious freeriders, snowshoe hikers and ice climbers.
- FREERIDE: Whether pillows in snowfall or crisp big mountain lines that can be reached with short hikes. Here are a few that we recommend ROUTES.
- SNOWSHOE HIKING: More and more winter connoisseurs are drawn to the mountains with snowshoes, with a fascinating hike through the untouched winter landscape in almost complete tranquility.
- ICE CLIMBING: Ice climbing is probably the most spectacular way to move "ice cold" and measure your strength. At this point (LINK) we are happy to refer to the information from the Weissee Glacier World on the subject of ice climbing.
The area around the Berghotel Rudolfshütte is particularly suitable for deep snow runs and firn runs due to its height. The ascents to the various starts (gaps, peaks) of the Hohe Tauern can be reached easily to demanding (between 2.5 and 7 hours) depending on the ascent routes. The downhill route depends on the knowledge of the area and the ability of the touring skier. The necessary equipment can be borrowed from the ski rental in the Berghotel Rudolfshuette.
